My experimentation with acrylic skins. An acrylic “skin” is a dry acrylic film that can be made of paint, medium or a combination of paint and medium, that is not attached to any substrate.
I created it using Modpodge heat resistant mat and Golden polymer medium. Apply polymer medium on the mat allow it to dry. Once dry, using a stencil I applied Finnabair 3D Matte Gel and also painted it with paints. Once the gel dried I peeled and trimmed it, then adhered it to the background. The center piece was created using stamp and chunky embossing powder in copper.
